Position Summary

Personal Trainers are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supportive, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive goal achievement and retention.
2. Monitor and instruct clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment.
3. Conduct fitness consultations for new clients, including pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting.
4. Provide fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, education, and motivation.
5. Fulfill member service requirements such as fitness assessments, equipment operation, service desk duties, and equipment cleaning.
6. Promote and sell personal training programs and services.
7. Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.
8. Stay current on certifications and industry trends.
9. Ensure all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service.
10. Document all aspects of client programming.
11. Maintain current credentials and pursue continuing education to advance through the levels program.

Position Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. At least 1 year of personal training experience.
3. Certified Personal Trainer.
4. CPR and AED Certified.
5. Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design.
6. Ability to perform aerobic activities for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field.

Pay

For the first 8 weeks, hourly wage is $14.81 plus unit pay; after that, pay is commission-based tied to performance.
