Job summary

The Westfield Area Y in New Jersey is seeking certified Personal Trainers to join our Health & Wellness team. You will instruct clients on the usage and function of equipment across all gym spaces, design programs for clients with health concerns, and perform fitness testing while ensuring certifications are renewed on time.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPR for the professional rescuer, First Aid with EPI and Asthma required.
• Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization.
• Previous Personal Training experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct clients on usage and function of all exercise equipment in the Free Weight Room, Strength Training Room, Cardio Room, and Fitness Centers at the Y
• Must be able to lift and move exercise equipment

Pay Range

$27.00-$30.00 per hour, based on certifications held
