Job summary

Westfield Area Y is seeking certified Personal Trainers to join our Health & Wellness team in a part-time role. You will instruct clients on equipment use across multiple Y spaces, and design programs for clients with various health needs.

The role requires CPR/First Aid/EPI/Asthma certification and an active Personal Training credential from a recognized organization, with previous PT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR for the professional rescuer, First Aid with EPI and Asthma required.
• Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization.
• Previous Personal Training experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct clients on the usage and function of exercise equipment in all Y areas.
• Design exercise programs for clients with special needs or health concerns.
• Perform fitness testing and evaluations for clients.
• Renew all certifications on time.
• Move and lift exercise equipment as needed.

The Westfield Area Y is looking for certified Personal Trainers to join our growing Health & Wellness team.

• Must be able to instruct clients on the usage and function of all the exercise equipment in the Free Weight Room, Strength Training Room, Cardio Room, and Fitness Centers at the Y
• Must be able to lift and move exercise equipment
• Ability to design exercise programs for those with special needs and health concerns
• Perform fitness testing and evaluations for clients
• Responsible for renewing all certifications on time

Pay Range

$27.00-$30.00 per hour, based on certifications held
