The ideal candidate should hold a current personal training certification from recognized organizations and have at least six months of experience in the field. Additional certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid are preferred.

Personal Trainer

Responsible for creating and implementing custom tailored personal training programs for members of the Villanova Community.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement progressive personal training routines.
  • Recruit new personal training clients.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current personal training certification from one of the following organizations:
    • NSCA – National Strength and Conditioning Association
    • NASM – National Academy of Sports Medicine
    • ACSM – American College of Sports Medicine
    • AAAI – American Aerobic Association International
    • AFAA – Aerobics and Fitness Association of America
    • ACE – American Council on Exercise
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum 6 months previous experience as a personal trainer.
