Job summary

VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY is seeking a Personal Trainer to create and implement tailored personal training programs for the Villanova Community. This role involves developing progressive training routines and recruiting new clients.

The ideal candidate should hold a current personal training certification from recognized organizations and have at least six months of experience in the field. Additional certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current personal training certification from NSCA, NASM, ACSM, AAAI, AFAA, or ACE.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Minimum 6 months previous experience as a personal trainer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current personal training certification from one of the following organizations:
  • NSCA – National Strength and Conditioning Association
  • NASM – National Academy of Sports Medicine
  • ACSM – American College of Sports Medicine
  • AAAI – American Aerobic Association International
  • AFAA – Aerobics and Fitness Association of America
  • ACE – American Council on Exercise

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Minimum 6 months previous experience as a personal trainer.
