Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Grit City Wellness is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to work one‑on‑one with members, crafting personalized training programs and delivering engaging sessions. You will help clients set realistic goals, monitor progress, and adapt workouts to injuries or changing fitness levels.
Beyond training, you will foster strong client relationships, motivate accountability, and contribute to building a thriving training community within the Grit family.
Grit City Wellness is a fitness and wellness community built around helping people feel stronger, healthier, and better in their everyday lives.
We bring fitness, recovery, and wellness together under one roof, creating an environment where members can work on their strength, health, recovery, and overall well-being.
We're looking for a Personal Trainer who loves coaching, building relationships, and helping people make real progress.
As a Personal Trainer at Grit, you'll help members turn their goals into something they can actually achieve.
You'll work one‑on‑one with members to understand where they are, where they want to go, and what it will take to get there. You'll create personalized training programs, coach great sessions, and help people build the confidence and habits they need to keep going.
But great personal training isn't just about the workout.
It's about knowing your clients, noticing their progress, holding them accountable, celebrating their wins, and being someone they trust.
You'll also have the opportunity to build your own client base and grow your personal training business within the Grit community.
We're looking for a trainer who is:
Previous personal training experience is preferred. Relevant education, training, and current fitness certifications are expected based on the services you provide. CPT or equivalent, CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained as required by Grit.
At Grit, personal training is about more than counting reps.
We're building a community where fitness, recovery, and wellness work together. Your clients can train with you, recover, explore wellness services, and connect with a community that supports their goals.
That means you don't have to be everything for your clients. You get to be part of a larger team and a larger wellness experience.
We also believe great trainers should have the opportunity to build something of their own.
If you enjoy building relationships, developing a loyal client base, and seeing the long-term impact of your coaching, Grit gives you a place to do that while still being part of a team.
We're looking for trainers who are professional without being stuffy, knowledgeable without being condescending, and confident enough to coach while still being willing to learn.
You get excited when a client does something they couldn't do six months ago.
You like getting to know your clients—not just their sets and reps, but what motivates them and what they're working toward.
You can push someone when they need to be pushed and meet them where they are when they need a little more support.
You understand that a successful training business is built on relationships, results, and trust.
And you want to work somewhere that gives you the opportunity to build a great client base while being part of a bigger fitness and wellness community.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
