Position Summary
Personal Trainers are responsible for supporting members in achieving healthier lives by building relationships. They provide an educational, supportive, and positive experience that aligns with the Life Time Brand.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs to help achieve goals and retain clients.
- Guide clients during training sessions on the proper use of equipment for cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training.
- Complete all required training related to the role.
- Conduct fitness consultations for new clients, including screening, medical history review, lifestyle assessment, and goal setting.
- Assist members on the fitness floor to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate.
- Fulfill member service tasks such as fitness assessments, equipment operation, service desk duties, and cleaning equipment.
- Promote and sell personal training programs and services.
- Complete administrative tasks related to each client’s fitness plan.
- Stay current with certifications and industry trends.
- Ensure members feel competent and connected through excellent customer service and programming.
- Document all aspects of client programming.
- Maintain current credentials and pursue continuing education for career advancement.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of personal training experience
- Certified Personal Trainer
- CPR and AED Certification
- Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design
- Ability to perform aerobic activities and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field
Pay
For the first 8 weeks, hourly wage is $11.13 plus unit pay up to $30 minus applicable wages. After 8 weeks, pay is on a performance-based commission system.
