Job summary

Fitness Together in Newburyport, MA is a premier 1:1 personal training studio seeking a degreed personal trainer to join our team. You will design safe, science-based programs and educate clients to stay engaged and motivated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
• National Certification (NASM/ACSM) required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.

Fitness Together in Newburyport, MA has helped clients in the Newburyport area for over 18 years. We are a nationally ranked 1-to-1 personal training studio that is changing how degreed fitness professionals are employed: no more split shifts, hourly pay, or trying to find your own clients.

Responsibilities

• Design safe and effective programs, accommodating the unique needs/goals of clients
• Educate and empower clients, so that they are motivated to stay committed to their plan
• Bring a positive attitude and show regular appreciation every day
• Create unique, memorable and personal experiences for clients that make Fitness Together® customers clients for life
• Interact with clients and team members without judgement, and express empathy
• Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration
• Always maintain a space of cleanliness and ensure a safe and accident-free environment
• Represent yourself professionally through your appearance, language and behavior

Qualifications

• Must be available some Saturday mornings.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
• National Certification required (example: NASM or ACSM)
• One year of personal training and program design experience
• Extensive understanding of injury prevention/management
• Experience & success working with special populations
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
