Job summary

The YMCA of Snohomish County in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a part-time, non-exempt wellness/instructor role to deliver engaging fitness sessions and promote member wellness. This position requires a Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification and a commitment to inclusive, community-focused service.

Responsibilities include leading sessions, tracking attendance, staying current with wellness trends, and supporting a diverse member base in line with YMCA policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Experience working with teen populations.
  • Fluency in a second language is desirable.

Position Summary:

Instruct individuals; provide quality service to members in culturally appropriate ways and responsive to our member’s diverse abilities, contribute to an enjoyable and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead and conduct energizing, fun, culturally appropriate, and educational sessions
  • Current knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
  • Keep accurate session attendance records
  • Follow YMCA policies, practices and procedures; respond to emergency situations
Qualifications:
  • Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification
  • Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Experience working with teen population
  • Fluency in second language desired
