The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a Personal Trainer who provides professional one-on-one training, designs personalized routines, and grows a strong member base. You will lead specialty programs, maintain equipment form, and ensure high-quality service while staying current with health and wellness trends.
Hours vary based on client needs. Responsibilities include tours for prospective members, bridge to programs in Health and Wellness, and ongoing member support.
The Personal Trainer provides professional and educated one-on-one training service to members and develops fitness routines that will satisfy member goals. The position is responsible for building a strong network of relationships with members, growing and maintaining a solid client base for personal training, and designing, implementing, and leading specialty programs as needed. Hours will vary based on client needs.
Performs any other functions deemed necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association.
$25.00 - $31.82 ; Part Time, Non Exempt (up to 25hrs/week)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university; degrees in anatomy, kinesiology, exercise science, or biomechanics preferred or one to two years fitness, instructional, or personal training experience required.
