We are looking for qualified candidates for our Personal Trainer position. Personal Trainers are responsible for one-on-one and group training sessions with clients at the Golden Community Center.

Candidates are required to have at least six months of hands-on personal training experience completed while holding a nationally recognized personal training certification.

Ability to read, and organizational policies and procedures, professional journals, technical and related information. Ability to compose and write related correspondence including individual and group training programs and workouts. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse population groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must hold and maintain a current Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency (i.e. ACE, ACSM). NCCA approved agencies preferred.
Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain w/in 30 days of hire.
Working knowledge of free weights, weight machines, and general fitness equipment. Basic knowledge of nutritional guidelines. Must be able to perform a body composition measuring subcutaneous fat with calipers as well as perform a bioelectrical impedance analysis. Trainers must be self-motivated and must work well independently. Works well with people of all ages and abilities.
Free weights, variety of weight and cardiovascular machines, skin fold calipers and biometrical impedance.

Work environment is primarily in an indoor setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
