Position Summary

Personal Trainers are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supportive, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
  2. Monitors and instructs clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment
  3. Reads, watches, and engages in all required training associated with the role
  4. Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, Medical History, Lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs
  5. Provides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members
  6. Fulfills member service requirements such as fitness assessments and equipment operations, service desk duties, and fitness equipment cleaning
  7. Promotes and sells personal training programs and services
  8. Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan
  9. Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
  10. Ensures all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and paid services/programming
  11. Documents all aspects of client programming
  12. Remains current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program
Position Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 1 year of personal training experience
  3. Certified Personal Trainer
  4. CPR and AED Certified
  5. Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design
  6. Ability to perform aerobic activity for the duration of a class and be able to bend, stand, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field
Pay

For the first 8 full weeks of employment, this position pays an hourly wage of $11.13 and is eligible for unit pay of $30 minus the applicable minimum wage for services. After 8 weeks, pay is on a performance-based commission basis.
