Objective

Responsible for promoting, selling, and performing personal training services.

Reports To

Fitness Director/Assistant Fitness Director.

Criteria

Customer service and personal training experience preferred. Personal Training certification or related education background required. AFF recognized PT certification required within 180 days of hire and Red Cross CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Get and keep members.
• Perform duties according to the company's mission, vision, pillars of success, service standards, and business philosophy, aiming for member growth, retention, and club profitability.
• Provide high-quality customer service by greeting members warmly, energetically, and positively, using their names when possible.
• Follow company Service Standards, training, and policy manuals, along with department-specific handbooks.
• Know and act according to the club's emergency response protocol, exercising sound judgment prioritizing safety.
• Arrive 5 minutes early and wear the department-specific uniform.
• Participate in all mandatory meetings.
• Contribute as a team player towards club and organizational goals.
• Maintain open and honest communication with team members.
• Read and sign the communication log.

Personal Trainer Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum of 10 billable sessions per week.
• Recruit new clients.
• Conduct personal training consultations as per the manual.
• Create safe and effective training programs.
• Keep accurate records for clients, payroll, and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
