As a Personal Trainer for the Blue Springs Parks & Recreation, you will impact the fitness journey for clients as you provide coaching and instruction in 1-on-1 or small-group settings. This part-time position will be for evening hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
The above duties and responsibilities include those tasks, physical and mental requirements, visual requirements, unique physical surroundings and mental/cognitive abilities required to perform the essential elements of the position.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Special License(s)/Certifications –Acceptable combination of education and work experience. Certified personal trainer (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE) or equivalent. CPR/AED certification required.
Experience –Previous personal training experience in a commercial or community setting is strongly preferred.
Skills –Strong communications skills for interacting with patrons. Knowledge of current fitness trends and practices. Punctuality and organization skills.
Competencies – Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment; ability to prepare appropriate programs to suit clients’ goals and needs.
Supervisory Responsibility – This position will not supervise other staff, but will work in cooperation with the Fitness Supervisor and other personal trainers.
