Job summary

Defined Fitness is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer in Albuquerque, NM to guide clients through personalized fitness plans and safe training sessions.

You will conduct orientations, create individualized workouts, and track progress while maintaining a strong client list and meeting minimum weekly hours. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for growth and ongoing certification maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Valid national PT certification from accredited agency (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, IFPA, PTA Global, ISSA) and maintain throughout employment
  • Bachelor’s degree in health, fitness or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in personal training or group fitness instruction preferred
  • Ability to perform and/or demonstrate exercises and movements
  • Experience working in the sales industry preferred
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to demonstrate high-quality of service
  • Self-driven and competitive with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC
  • Valid CPR/AED certification, infant and child, by first day of employment and maintain throughout employment
  • Proficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assume the responsibility of training members who are interested in working one-on-one with a fitness professional
  • Provide members with safe, results-oriented programming that matches their goals and fitness level
  • Conduct new member orientation pre-exercise biometrics and goal evaluations
  • Talk to members of the club about their goals and introduce them to our personal training programming
  • Advise members about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises and proper form
  • Ensure client renewal through focused, positive, supportive coaching, follow up and programming
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of program progress
  • Maintain a minimum of 12 client hours weekly
  • Educate members about the benefits of personal training
  • Create customized workouts for clients while ensuring a safe and injury-free experience for all clients and members
  • Guide clients through their fitness journey with personalized attention and programming
  • Seek constant development as a fitness professional
  • Demonstrate strong time-management skills while servicing sessions jam-packed with value

Personal Trainer

Part Time Mesa, Albuquerque, NM, US

Salary Range: $32.00 To $45.00 Hourly

Location: All club facilities
Reports to:Fitness Manager
Supervises:N/A
Status:Non-exempt / Part-time

Position Overview

As a Personal Trainer you are relentless in pursuit of your goals and the goals of your clients. You set the pace for success, motivate your clients to jump higher, go further and push harder. You are Defined Fitness. The Personal Trainer will guide clients through their fitness journey with personalized attention and programming. Work with members to create individualized plans for achieving their fitness goals, while remaining safe and injuring free, lead clients through exercise routines while offering words of encouragement during training sessions. You are expected to work on your existing client list as it grows of personal training by demonstrating the following qualities:

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
