Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dover-Foxcroft is hiring a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) for a full‑time role on days. The position focuses on resident-centered care, daily living assistance, and maintaining a clean, supportive environment within a 93-bed facility.

Responsibilities include resident check-ins, ADLs support, light housekeeping, and transporting residents for appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• PSS Certification OR in-house training provided to start.

Main Street West, established in 2000, provides 14 peaceful, elegant, and affordable apartments for tenants who are still essentially independent but require extra services.

What You’ll Do:

• Resident Care: Perform daily resident check-ins and assessments to ensure health, comfort, and peace of mind.
• Environment Care: Keep resident apartments fresh with weekly light housekeeping and personalized laundry service.
• Community Upkeep: Maintain inviting, clean common areas daily for our residents to gather and enjoy.
• Outings & Transport: Drive the facility van for scheduled resident appointments, group errands, and fun community outings!

Personal Support Specialists (PSS) providehands-on assistance with daily living for older adults with functionallimitations and people with disabilities. PSSs provide services related to amember’s physical requirements for assistance with Activities of Daily Living(ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). A PSS providesthese services according to an authorized plan of care, which can be differentdepending on where and who they are working with.

The PSS (Personal Support Specialist) is responsible forproviding excellent, resident-centered, personal care. This care includesassistance with showering/bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility. Inaddition, the PSS will help with meal service, laundry, housekeeping and othertasks as assigned. The successful candidate is a compassionate, patientcaregiver with high energy and a strong desire to make a positive difference inthe lives of our residents.

As a PSS, you will help create a caring environment as part of aclinical team, focusing on providing personal support to your Residentsin an Assisted Living environment. Getting to know your Residents is oneof the most rewarding parts of this job!

PSS Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Personal Support Specialist Certification OR not yet a PSS, we will train you!
• Grow your career: We providing training to become a Certified Residential Medication Aide – which allows you to receive an immediate pay increase!
• Experience with or desire to spend your work day caring for people, especially those who are older and/or chronically ill.
• Focus on a high-level of customer service.
• Ability to work with independence, flexibility, good judgment, verbal communication, creating a safe environment, positive customer relationships.
