AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC in Maine seeks compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and people with disabilities, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, light housekeeping, meal planning, transportation, supervision, and companionship, while documenting changes and communicating with a supervisor. Certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of active auto insurance.
• Compassionate, patient attitude toward the elderly and commitment to high-quality care.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, and standing.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Provide mobility support with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Escort clients to doctor's appointments and help with essential errands.
• Observe and document changes in health and communicate updates to the supervisor.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Transportation: Escort clients to doctor's appointments and help with essential errands.
• Reporting: Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.

Requirements
