Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide in-home non-medical care for seniors and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, light housekeeping, meal planning, and transportation, while offering companionship and health status updates to supervisors. A valid Maine PSS certification and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Certification: Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of active auto insurance.
• A patient, sympathetic attitude toward the elderly and a commitment to high-quality care.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required (lifting, bending, standing).

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home care including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with mobility and transfers (bed to chair) and support fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and tidying living areas.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation.
• Offer companionship, engage in social activities, and provide emotional support.
• Escort clients to doctor appointments and assist with errands.
• Observe and document changes in health and report updates to supervisor.
