Now Hiring: Support Counselor – Make a Meaningful Impact!
Location: In the community and/or participant’s home
Schedule: Flexible hours | Part-time & Full-time opportunities available

Compersation: $16.50 / Hourly

At The League for People with Disabilities, we believe in fostering independence, building self-esteem, and creating inclusive communities. We’re looking for dedicated, compassionate Support Counselors to help individuals reach their fullest potential – and have fun while doing it!

What You’ll Do:

Build strong, positive relationships with participants and their families

Support individuals in developing life skills like communication, socialization, and self-help

Plan engaging, age-appropriate community activities

Collaborate with families and professionals to achieve participant goals

Document progress using the iCareManager App in a timely manner

Champion participant independence while respecting their choices and voices

Who You Are:

Passionate about working with individuals of all abilities

A strong communicator who is person-centered and team-oriented

Responsible and reliable – you follow through and show up

Energetic, creative, and eager to make a difference every day

What You’ll Need:

Be 18 years or older

Have a high school diploma

100+ hours of experience working with people with disabilities

A valid driver's license (no more than 3 points) and reliable transportation

A smartphone capable of running required apps

Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs

Bonus if you have skills in ASL, behavior management, or experience with autism/seizure disorders
