Job summary

Food City is seeking a Personal Shopper Coordinator to manage curbside pickup orders with accuracy and professionalism. You will communicate with customers, process payments, and ensure high-quality service across the Go-Cart team.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating online orders, managing paperwork, and maintaining order freshness. You will also help with promotions and substitutions while complying with store policies.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Abundant knowledge and experience with E-Commerce operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to take leadership role in training and coaching team members on skills needed to adequately perform job duties.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle cross-functional tasks.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to maintain a customer-focused culture.
  • Ability to run a cash register, point of sale (POS) system, telephone, and other equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with customers of various socioeconomic levels.
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.

  • Communicate effectively with Professional Shoppers about sales goals, customer requests/complaints, and opportunities to help grow the department.
  • Prepare schedule for E-Commerce associates on an orderly and systematic basis.
  • Train and support Professional Shoppers as needed.
  • Maintain daily department paperwork for the required three-month period before shredding old information.
  • Maintain accountability for reporting out-of-stock items and planogram corrections to corporate.
  • Attend external marketing events, as needed, to support store level sales growth.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing online orders, coordinating orders, shopping, packing, labeling, staging, and pickup facilitation.
  • Maintain accountability for freshness and accuracy of every order.
  • Communicate timely with customers regarding order status, substitutions, and out-of-stock items.
  • Build personal relationships with customers and learn shopping preferences.
  • Maintain transaction and daily shift reports and tendering procedures.
  • Ensure knowledge of Food City website to assist customer inquiries.
  • Follow Loss Prevention audit procedures and be compliant with all Shopper protocols.

Position Summary:The Personal Shopper Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the accurate and efficient shopping and processing of all orders received through Food City’s Curbside Pickup service. Other responsibilities include professional communications with customers, various types of payment processing, and excellent order accuracy.Additionally, the Professional Shopper Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding service by the entire Go-Cart team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage customers with the goal of sharing Curbside Pickup’s value proposition.
  • Check email and/or Microsoft Teams daily about potential sales, reporting, online promotions, or website issues from Corporate Support Center.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with Professional Shoppers about sales goals, customer requests/complaints, and opportunities to help grow the department.

  • Communicate timely and professionally with customer regarding the state of their order, out of stock items, and offer acceptable substitution products.
  • Build personal relationships with customers and gain insight into their shopping preferences.
  • Properly maintain all transaction and daily shift reports.
  • Scan customer orders according to company policy and maintain accountability for tendered transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of desk and staging areas.
  • Be familiar with the Food City’s website to be able to help answer any customer inquiries.
  • Communicate special needs and request of customers to Store Manager.
  • Become a Food City promotion expert by gaining a deep understanding of all marketing activities in order to educate customers on savings opportunities and up sell when possible.
  • Abide by all Loss Prevention audit procedures and ensure all Professional Shopper protocols are followed.
  • Know and follow all state and local laws regarding beer, wine, and/or tobacco sales.
  • Know and follow all federal and state laws regarding WIC handling.
  • Know and follow all coupon handling procedures, including digital coupons.
  • Follow company check cashing and tendering procedures.
  • Know and follow policies and procedures for Debit Card/Credit Card/Gift Card/Gift Certificate/EWIC/EBT Cash/EBT Food Stamp transactions.
  • Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
  • Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
