Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk for curbside pickup to turn online orders into a smooth, right-on-time pickup experience. You will greet customers, fulfill orders quickly, and maintain the curbside area, contributing to a seamless carside interaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes a service mindset, accurate order fulfillment, and teamwork. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate order fulfillment at the curbside pickup area through proper scanning, packing and payment collection.
• Greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude in person and on the phone and respond to questions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
