About the Role:

We are seeking an adaptable and organized Personal Representative to join our mid-town staffing firm. We're looking for collaborative individuals with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a willingness to take the initiative at every level.

What You’ll Do:

As a key part of our Operations team, you’ll help us ensure classrooms are never without great educators. Your responsibilities include recruiting, supporting, and managing our substitute teaching workforce, combining people skills with operational savvy.

  • Conduct high-volume screening and interviews to identify top candidates for substitute teaching roles.
  • Use sound judgment to match and place qualified educators in open assignments—quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records in our internal systems.
  • Communicate regularly with field employees via phone and email—checking in, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
  • Guide educators through policies and procedures, providing coaching and support as needed.
  • Make employment decisions—including terminations—with autonomy and discretion.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new recruiting ideas for high-quality educational staff.
  • Draft and send clear, timely reminder messages and updates to field employees.
  • Support other core functions such as Onboarding, Compliance, Recruitment, and Client Relations as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field.
  • Previous experience in Customer Service, Staffing, Recruitment, or Education.
  • Experience initiating conversations by phone and email in high-volume settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective prioritization and follow-up.

What We Offer:

The schedule is 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Our office is located in Midtown Manhattan, operating three days a week.

Compensation is $50,000 annually, with eligibility for team-based quarterly performance bonuses based on meeting goals.

Why Join Us:

Founded in 2003, School Professionals is a leading provider of Substitute Teachers and Teacher Assistants in the NY Tri-State area.
