Overview : The Opportunity

Personal Lines Underwriter Assistant St. Pete, FL

Salary starting at $50,000 per year plus bonus opportunities!

We are currently looking to add a Personal Lines Underwriter Assistant to our team. This role will provide support to the Director of Personal Lines by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, creating quotes, processing new/renewal business, and helping grow the knowledge of our branch office teams. No insurance experience is required to be successful in this role, but prior insurance knowledge is a plus. Bass Underwriters will provide the tools and mentorship to help make you successful in your position.

Responsibilities include :

• Review applications
• Evaluate risks
• Research and learn carrier guidelines
• Interface with agents and insurance carriers
• Process and service new and renewal business
• Assist in managing the Personal Lines inbox
• Develop and implement marketing growth strategies for product offerings
• Assist Director with monthly calls with branch office teams
• Promote specialty program offerings internally and externally

Qualifications : Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, or other related majors) or equivalent experience
• 2-20 License preferred but not required
• Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Ability to prioritize and respond to complex issues
• Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and navigating various websites and databases
• Some travel may be required to visit other branch offices across the US
• Highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality, entrepreneurial spirit, service mentality, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
