Position Summary

The Personal Lines Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the personal lines department, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional client service, and achievement of departmental goals. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of personal lines insurance products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of personal lines account managers and support staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Manage staffing levels and ensure adequate coverage.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and best practices.
  • Departmental Operations:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the personal lines department.
    • Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures.
    • Monitor and manage department performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies and insurance regulations.
    • Manage and maintain agency management systems.
  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Sales and Growth:

    • Develop and implement strategies to increase client retention.
  • Underwriting and Carrier Relations:
