Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join our growing team in Meridian, ID!Responsible for responding to client requests and questions in a high-volume call center. Provides prompt, efficient, high-quality service. Assists in the production of new/enhanced accounts and retention of existing accounts.
Receives phone calls requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies and asking questions. Completes changes/requests within 24 hours of receipt. Determines acceptability and placement of coverage, completes applications or endorsements and collects premiums if applicable. Binders and/or policy or endorsement requests are to be completed within 24 hours of date quoted to client. Responds to client requests for certificates of insurance or auto ID cards. Receives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine action to be taken and takes necessary action upon receipt. Handles premium collection through forms, letters and request cancellation of policies when necessary. Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency and carrier personnel to minimize potential errors and omissions of claims. Actively seeks referrals from current clients to solicit new business prospects. Performs a broad variety of administrative duties and staff support services for an assigned group or leader. Processes a variety of confidential information and documents securely. Provides training and support to new members of the team.
P&C licensed preferred; or able to obtain within 90 days.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, etc.). Strong oral and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 6 months P&C insurance experience.
