Qualifications

  • Active Property and Casualty license in the applicable state(s).
  • 3–5 years of personal lines account management experience within an independent insurance agency.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth or affluent personal lines clients.
  • Strong knowledge of personal insurance coverages, underwriting considerations, carrier appetites, policy forms.
  • Ability to manage complex accounts with multiple properties, vehicles, valuables, umbrella or excess liability.
  • Strong ability to review policies, identify coverage gaps, and explain insurance concepts clearly.
  • Excellent organization, communication, accuracy, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, including Applied Epic, and carrier platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned book of personal lines business, including high-net-worth and complex accounts.
  • Serve as the primary service contact, providing timely, professional, and consultative support.
  • Review insurance programs to identify coverage gaps, changing exposures, cross-selling opportunities, and risk-management solutions.
  • Handle submissions, policy changes, renewals, endorsements, billing questions, certificates, evidence of insurance, and other service requests.
  • Market new and renewal accounts to carrier partners and compare coverage, pricing, limits, deductibles, and underwriting requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate proposals, coverage summaries, and client recommendations.
  • Coordinate coverage for high-value homes, secondary residences, luxury vehicles, valuables, umbrellas or excess liability, domestic staff, watercraft, and other affluent-client exposures.
  • Proactively manage renewals, including exposure updates, loss-history review, carrier negotiation, and client presentations.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, producers, underwriters, claims professionals, and referral partners.
  • Assist with claims reporting and advocate for a smooth, responsive claims experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency procedures, carrier requirements, licensing rules, and applicable regulations.
  • Support retention, organic growth, team collaboration, carrier training, continuing education, and process improvement.

Our client is seeking an experienced Licensed Personal Lines Account Manager to manage and strengthen relationships with personal insurance clients, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and families.
