Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Carmel, IN.
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing high-quality service and support to clients, acting as the primary point of contact for personal lines insurance needs. This role ensures effective communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams, while assisting with onboarding, servicing, and retaining accounts. The Account Manager will manage customer inquiries, resolve service issues, follow internal workflows, and contribute to the department’s overall success through account rounding, mentorship, and a commitment to client satisfaction.
How You Will Contribute:
Serve as client day-to-day client contact for questions and issues.
Ensure proper handling and resolution of client issues, problems and concerns, using resources and other employees available to complete task as needed.
Assist in introducing, acquiring and retaining accounts.
Receive customer requests by telephone, email and fax, analyze requests, and provide information requested within a reasonable period.
Preserve and strengthen relationships with clients through good communication and customer service.
Maintain constant and open communication lines between the CSA, Administrative and all staff.
Timely notification to Personal Lines Manger of any sensitive issues happening with their clients.
Assist with reviewing proposal materials (spreadsheet, BB Proposal, Market Comparisons and updating information, and re-marketing client when needed.
Precise following of I/O procedures regarding entering and assigning and activities, following protocol in all workflows and always using resources and staff correctly to complete the above tasks.
Understand and follow protocols related to your position.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); moderate typing speed; intermediate Excel skills
Strong math skills; comfortable with calculations and interpreting technical data
Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and handling abstract concepts
Able to read insurance documents, write reports, and communicate clearly with clients and teams
