Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an attorney in Dover, Delaware, to manage personal injury and workers' compensation matters with direct client interaction and meaningful case ownership. The role features hybrid work with Delaware hearings, depositions, and in-person proceedings as needed, and provides opportunities for growth in a developing practice.

Qualifications

• Active Delaware Bar admission required.
• 3+ years of legal experience preferred, though Delaware-barred attorneys with less experience will be considered if motivated and capable.
• Litigation, personal injury, workers' compensation or related civil litigation experience is helpful.
• Strong writing, research, communication, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and taking ownership of cases.
• Must live in Delaware or surrounding area and be available for Delaware hearings and in-person proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury and workers' compensation matters and develop effective case strategies.
• Work directly with clients and guide them through the litigation and claims process.
• Handle discovery, legal research, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other case-related work.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, court hearings, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Evaluate case facts, liability, damages, medical evidence, and settlement opportunities.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases toward successful resolutions.
• Develop courtroom, litigation, negotiation, and client-management skills through hands-on experience.
• Take increasing ownership of cases as experience and capabilities grow.
