Job summary

Saltu Staffing in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Spanish-speaking Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys handling PI litigation. Ideal for someone who understands the litigation process, communicates well with clients, and can manage multiple cases, deadlines, records, and follow-up items.

The candidate should be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to move cases forward while flagging issues for attorneys.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal handling personal injury litigation matters.
  • Spanish fluency is required.
  • Strong understanding of the personal injury litigation process and case lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting attorneys with discovery, depositions, mediations, calendaring, and trial preparation.
  • Experience using Clio or comparable case management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to elevate issues to an attorney.
  • Must reside in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize personal injury case files from filing to resolution.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients regarding case status, documentation, appointments, and litigation-related matters.
  • Review, organize, and maintain medical records, affidavits, liens, and other case documentation.
  • Assist attorneys with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Support attorneys with drafting correspondence, discovery, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Manage case calendaring, deadlines, court dates, and follow-up tasks.
  • Assist with electronic filing and other court-related administrative requirements.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, tasks, deadlines, and documentation within Clio.
  • Monitor cases for missing information, outstanding records, stalled tasks, and upcoming deadlines.
  • Proactively identify issues that require attorney review or action.
  • Coordinate with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties as needed.
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files throughout the litigation process.
