The role includes taking and defending depositions, appearing in hearings, mediations, and trials, and negotiating settlements. Active CA Bar license and strong written/verbal advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in personal injury law and civil litigation, with the ability to analyze liability, damages, and insurance issues.
• Experience drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions, and other litigation-related filings.
• Proficiency in navigating courts at the state level, managing hearings, conferences, and compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Trial-ready skills, including case preparation, witness examination, and presentation of evidence from pre-trial through verdict.
• Hands-on experience conducting and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts, with strong questioning and evaluation skills.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal advocacy, negotiation skills, and client communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Prior personal injury or plaintiff-side experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions, appear in courts for hearings, mediations, and trials, and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Provide regular updates to clients, explain legal strategies, and prepare them for key litigation events.
• Collaborate with support staff, manage deadlines, and ensure each case receives thorough, individualized attention.
