Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Seattle seeks an experienced attorney with plaintiff or insurance defense litigation background to take ownership of cases and client relationships.

You will negotiate with insurers, draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and guide clients through all litigation stages while leveraging Clio and AI tools.

This role values independent judgment, collaboration, and a commitment to helping clients through challenging times, with growth opportunities at a growing firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active Washington license required.
• Meaningful personal injury or insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and deposition experience encouraged.
• Willing to work in person in downtown Seattle.
• Experience negotiating with insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Handle personal injury matters from litigation through resolution.
• Negotiate directly with insurance companies.
• Draft, file, and argue motions in Superior and Federal Court.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle arbitrations.
• Guide clients through every stage of the litigation process.
• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and client service.
• Utilize technology, including Clio and AI tools, to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active Washington license (or ability to waive in).
• Personal injury litigation experience preferred (but strong insurance defense litigators with deposition experience are also encouraged to apply).
• Experience negotiating with insurance companies.
• Experience taking depositions.
• Arbitration experience strongly preferred.
• Civil litigation experience, including motion practice.
• Willing to work in person in downtown Seattle.
