Job summary

Right Path Law Group, PLLC in Chantilly, Virginia, is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney licensed in Virginia to lead a dynamic PI caseload. You'll work with a robust team of paralegals, case managers, and medical records specialists to move cases from pre-litigation through trial.

The role offers a base salary, quarterly commissions, and an origination fee, plus employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) match, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of plaintiff's experience in PI law.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Proven track record managing a diverse caseload from pre-litigation through trial.
• Ability to conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, and jury trials.
• Strong negotiation skills with insurance adjusters and defense counsel.
• Experience collaborating with a team of paralegals, case managers, and medical records specialists.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and documentation in a case management system.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage an active PI caseload across pre-litigation and litigation.
• Move cases from treatment through demand, negotiation, and settlement or trial.
• Conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials.
• Appear at status conferences, motions hearings, and pre-trial proceedings in General District and Circuit Courts across Northern Virginia.
• Collaborate daily with your dedicated support team (4+ staff members, including paralegals, case managers, and medical records specialists).
• Review and approve demand packages, settlement agreements, and litigation strategy with team support.
• Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel on pre-litigation and litigated matters.
• Coordinate with paralegals on discovery, court filings, subpoenas, and trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and file documentation in our case management system.
• Communicate proactively with clients throughout the life of their case.
• Participate in firm strategy sessions, case reviews, and performance check-ins with firm leadership.

Compensation

$125,000 - $140,000 yearly

• Conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, hearings, and jury trials
• Appear at status conferences, motions hearings, and pre-trial proceedings in General District and Circuit Courts across Northern Virginia
• Collaborate daily with your dedicated support team (4+ staff members, including paralegals, case managers, and medical records specialists)

Qualifications

• Experience in personal injury law, with three to five years of practice under your belt.
• Licensed in Virginia, ensuring you're ready to hit the ground running.
• Proven track record of managing a diverse caseload from pre-litigation through trial verdict.
• Ability to conduct client consultations, depositions, mediations, and jury trials with confidence.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel.
• Experience collaborating with a team of paralegals, case managers, and medical records specialists.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely case notes, deadlines, and documentation in a case management system.
