JBA International is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney in litigation to manage personal injury matters from inception through settlement. You will vigorously advocate for clients, draft and file pleadings, handle discovery, and conduct depositions while coordinating with senior attorneys to craft effective case strategies.

The role emphasizes client communication, negotiation of settlements, and ensuring fair compensation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 1+ years of Personal Injury Attorney experience required.

Responsibilities

• Strategically litigate personal injury cases from inception through settlement.
• Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and other legal documents.
• Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions.
• Prepare, conduct, and defend percipient and expert depositions.
• Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court.
• Draft mediation briefs and actively participate in settlements negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assess case values.
• Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and discuss case developments.
• Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials for potential trial.
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings.
• Manage and provide guidance to litigation assistants and paralegals.
