Job summary

Landmark Credit Union is seeking a Personal Financial Officer to deliver exceptional member service while assisting with a broad range of financial needs. You will identify deposit and lending solutions, originate consumer loans, and guide members through applications and closings.

Initial training occurs at a Landmark branch in Burlington, WI, with transition to an Illinois location. Travel for training is supported as per policy, and strong customer service and communication skills are

Responsibilities

• Manage loan pipelines and obtain required documentation from members.
• Open savings products, IRA/HSA products, and service requests.
• Cross-sell accounts and loans and refer to Landmark Investment Center.
• Promote GAP and Payment Protection to members.
• Provide disclosures to applicants and resolve member inquiries.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for delivering exceptional member service while assisting members with a broad range of financial needs. The Personal Financial Officer is a trusted resource to members by identifying appropriate deposit and lending solutions, originating consumer loans, and supporting members through the application and closing process.

This position is accountable for opening and maintaining deposit relationships, processing home equity loan applications, and ensuring all required documentation and disclosures are completed accurately and timely.

The Personal Financial Officer contributes to overall branch performance by building member relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and supporting day‑to‑day branch operations.

Initial training for this position will take place at a Landmark branch in Burlington, WI before transitioning to the Illinois branch location. Landmark will provide support for required travel associated with training in accordance with company policy.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of customer service or sales experience preferably within a financial institution. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Prior teller or lending experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and explain credit bureau reports, liaise with members in satisfying loan stipulations, schedule closings and process loan documents.
• Demonstrated ability in understanding and recommending appropriate deposit and loan products based on member need.
• Ability to travel to and temporarily work from a designated training location.
• Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
• Must have or be able to attain National Mortgage Licensing System registration (NMLS#).
• Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all company policies and procedures and all job‑related state and federal laws and regulations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Works loan pipelines, understands loan documentation and follows through to obtain all required documentation from members.
• Provides solutions to members regarding financial products and services. Opens savings products, IRA/HSA products, and service requests.
• Cross sells accounts and loans, including making referrals to Landmark Investment Center.
• Consistently sells GAP and Payment Protection to members.
• Provides required disclosures to applicants.
• Resolves member issues/problems and competently responds to member inquiries.Educates members as to the use of available automated systems in order and sets them up for these services.
• May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off‑site location.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

PAY RANGE

$22 to $23.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
