Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions to enable individuals to remain in their homes.

Specific Duties

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or manager and notify immediately of incidents or accidents
• Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client's personal care

Education and Experience

Desired Experience

• Six months of home care experience preferred
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Ability to work independently in diverse home situations
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills
