Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their homes.

• Report observations of the client’s condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately in case of incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during business travel.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, haircare, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transferring between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Assist with toileting needs.
• Help with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skill Requirements

• Flexibility to work hours needed to meet patient needs.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home environments.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
