Job summary

Covenant Care in Monterey seeks compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical assistance for clients with daily living activities. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal prep, and offering patient support to ensure clients remain safe and comfortably independent.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide care necessary for each client to remain safe and comfortable.
• Perform assigned jobs in an efficient, cheerful manner while respecting clients' wishes.
• Provide encouraging patient support for residents' daily activities.
• Encourage socialization by transporting or participating in recreation.
• Monitor and report on changes in condition.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.

Position Summary

You will work to provide non‑medical assistance to those needing assistance with activities of daily living. This can include light housekeeping, meal preparation, providing engaging activities and driving clients to appointments.

Responsibilities

• The Caregiver will provide care necessary for each client to remain safe, comfortable and as functionally independent as possible.
• Assigned jobs are to be done in an efficient, reliable, cheerful and calm manner while showing respect for the wishes and living patterns of the persons being served and their families.
• Provide kind, encouraging patient support and assistance for assigned residents in their activities of daily living.
• Encourage socialization by transporting or participating in recreation and leisure opportunities.
• Monitor and report on any changes in condition.
• Meal preparation or eating assistance and light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Medication reminders.
