Qualified Personal Care Workers complete an approved training program, may hold CPR/First Aid, and assist with bathing, grooming, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship in clients' homes within Milwaukee, WI.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Personal Care Worker training program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with toileting and incontinence care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to client's care.
• Prepare and serve meals according to client's dietary needs.
• Provide medication reminders (as allowed by state regulations).
• Assist with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
• Document services provided in accordance with agency policies.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
