Job summary

Flat Irons Flex Care seeks a Personal Care Provider (CNA) to deliver non-medical home care in clients' residences in Boulder, CO. You will assist with daily living activities, safety, companionship, and documentation according to each care plan and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of required home care training and successful competency evaluation prior to providing direct client care.

Responsibilities

• Report safety concerns to management.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and dishwashing.
• Perform shopping and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Assist clients with appointments and community activities.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and social interaction.
• Offer emotional reassurance and encouragement.
• Promote mental stimulation through reading, writing, and engaging activities.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hair care, shaving, and general nail care.
• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, pericare, bedpans, urinals, and commodes.
• Empty urinary collection devices and ostomy bags as outlined in the care plan.
• Assist with feeding and hydration.
• Provide assistance with exercise and mobility as specified in the service plan.
• Assist with ambulation for weight-bearing clients using assistive devices.
• Perform transfers as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide general skin care to unbroken, healthy skin.
• Provide medication reminders and prompting only.
• Assist with limited respiratory support and cannula maintenance for grooming/hygiene.
• Provide protective oversight and standby assistance as required.
• Complete visit documentation for each service provided, including date, time in/out, services performed, and client signature.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, hair care, shaving (electric or safety razor only), and general nail care
• Assist with toileting, incontinence care, pericare, bedpans, urinals, and commodes
• Empty urinary collection devices and ostomy bags as outlined in the care plan
• Assist with feeding and hydration
• Provide assistance with exercise and mobility as specified in the service plan
• Assist with ambulation for weight-bearing clients using assistive devices
• Perform transfers as outlined in the care plan
• Provide general skin care to unbroken, healthy skin

Medication & Health Support

• Provide medication reminders and prompting only
• Assist with limited respiratory support, including temporary removal and replacement of a cannula for grooming or hygiene
• Provide protective oversight and standby assistance as required
