What You Should Know About the Personal Care Specialist Role:

• This is an opening in the Inpatient unit at Ohio's Hospice Middletown IPU facility.
• This is a FT Days position 7a-7:30p, 36 hrs per week with every other weekend rotation.
• We provide superior care and services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those with a heart for hospice will succeed.

The Personal Care Specialist’s Essential Duties Are

We provide superior care for patients and their families in homes and facilities. Our STNAs are called "Personal Care Specialists" because they are valued for their expertise in caring for patients' personal needs with dignity, compassion, and empathy. You could become a Personal Care Specialist who provides quality nursing assistance, assists families, and works with a team that relies on your close relationship with the patient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant with the State of Ohio, with no board actions
• One year of experience preferred
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPNA) preferred, required within two years of employment
• Computer skills sufficient for documentation
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather
• Valid Driver's license with a safe driving record
• State minimum automobile insurance coverage
