Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a dependable Personal Care Scheduler to coordinate caregiver schedules and fill open shifts. This on-site role is scheduled Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with on-call rotation compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys problem-solving, communicates well, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while supporting client care continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Kansas Driver's License.
• Previous scheduling, staffing, administrative, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating employees or field staff is helpful.
• Experience in home care, personal care, home health or hospice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain daily and weekly schedules for Personal Care clients and caregivers.
• Match qualified caregivers with client needs, availability and service requirements.
• Fill open shifts and provide coverage when caregivers call off or schedules change.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly with clients, caregivers, and the office team.
• Maintain scheduling information in the scheduling system.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with additional on-call compensation.
• Respond professionally to calls, texts, and other communications from caregivers and clients.
• Assist with new client starts by coordinating initial caregiver assignments and schedules.
• Work with the Personal Care team to ensure client needs and hours are met.
• Track caregiver availability and maintain an accurate pool of staff.
• Address scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes while maintaining customer service.
• Document scheduling changes, call-offs, missed shifts, and other information appropriately.
• Help ensure continuity of care by maintaining consistent caregiver assignments.
• Support the Personal Care office team with additional administrative duties.
