Compensation: from $18.00/hour to $20.00/hour (based on experience) – PLUS additional shift differentials

Status/Shift:
Part Time Day: 6:30am - 2:30pm; Rotating Weekends and Holidays
Part Time Evening: 2:30pm - 10:30pm; Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Position Overview

The Personal Care Medication Aide/Caregiver distributes medications, provides general household caregiving duties, and supports residents' physical and emotional needs. This role promotes residents' psychosocial well-being through relationship building and social activities. It also involves maintaining a clean, safe household environment and assisting with residents' personal laundry.

Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Safely prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments, respecting resident dignity and preferences.
  • Resident Care: Support residents in activities of daily living, respond promptly to requests, observe and report changes, and assist with mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Social and Recreational Activities: Plan and facilitate social activities, support residents' psychosocial needs, and promote engagement.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain household cleanliness, support laundry needs, and ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
  • 18 years or older unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide registry
  • High school diploma or equivalent, unless active on Nurse Aide registry
  • Ability to complete medication training successfully
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude
  • Experience with older adults preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
Expectations

Respects residents' independence, supports self-care, observes and reports changes, and documents care provided. Ensures resident dignity and safety in all interactions.

Supports household activities, maintains cleanliness, assists with meals and laundry, and promotes residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful engagement.
