Job summary

Seniors Helping Seniors – Pittsburgh NE is seeking reliable, compassionate caregivers to provide hands-on personal care for clients. The role focuses on daily living activities that support safety, dignity, and independence, with direct personal care at the core.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of caregiving experience, preferably with personal care.
• Availability Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.
• Must pass a background check and provide a current two step TB test.

Responsibilities

• Direct personal care including bathing and grooming assistance.
• Toileting support and continence care.
• Mobility assistance and fall prevention.
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance when needed.
• Medication reminders to maintain routines.
• Light housekeeping related to personal care.

What You’ll Do:

As a caregiver, your role will center on direct personal care, including but not limited to:

• Bathing and grooming assistance (showering, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, hair care).

• Toileting support (assistance to/from bathroom, incontinence care, proper hygiene).

• Mobility assistance (helping clients safely transfer from bed to chair, using mobility aids, fall prevention).

• Meal preparation and feeding assistance, when needed.

• Medication reminders to help clients stay on track with daily routines.

• Light housekeeping directly related to personal care (changing linens, laundry for hygiene needs, cleaning personal spaces).
