Job summary

LT Home Healthcare is looking for a dependable Personal Care Attendant (PCA) / Caregiver to assist an individual at home. Current shifts are Monday–Thursday from 11am–2:30pm and Friday 11am–3:15pm, with a part-time schedule.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient care to help the client stay safe and independent. No CNA/HHA required, but certification is welcomed. Training and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of caregiving/home healthcare experience preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification welcomed but not required.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility with assistive devices.
• Prepare simple meals and assist during mealtimes.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying).
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands per service plan.
• Accompany client to appointments or community outings when transportation is provided.
• Observe and report changes in condition promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment.
• Follow service plan and health and safety procedures.
• Respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Complete required service documentation on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least six months of caregiving, home healthcare, hospitality, or related experience preferred
• CNA or HHA certification is welcomed but not required
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds when required
• Dependable transportation to and from the work location
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor
• Willingness to follow health, safety, infection-control, and client-confidentiality requirements
