Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent as defined by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one assistance to a student or small group to support participation in classroom activities.
Follow teacher and supervisor directions to implement individualized education plans and behavioral supports.

Responsibilities

The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is currently hiring for a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the 2026-2027 academic school year. The Personal Care Assistant is assigned specifically to a student or group of Students who regularly need one on one assistance to maintain appropriate and equitable participation in the school setting. The PCA directly supports the students at the direction of the teacher and is under the general supervision of the program supervisor of special education.

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes.
