The Brandman Centers for Senior Care (BCSC), a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), provides high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services. We are a program of Los Angeles Jewish Health, renowned for providing quality care to vulnerable seniors.
The responsibilities of the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Center Coordinator, provides personal care services to Brandman Centers for Senior Care (BCSC) participants in the PACE Center and during transit to medical appointments, in accordance with departmental, paraprofessional, and regulatory standards of care.
Experience and Skills:
Certificates & Licenses:Currently licensed as a Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) in the state of California.
Experience: At least one year of experience as a home aide or personal care attendant. At least one year of experience working with frail or elderly individuals.
Skills & Aptitudes:Ability to provide compassionate care to the frail elderly. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills that promote team building. Ability to complete duties within an agreed-upon timeframe and adjust personal schedule as needed. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
