The PCA training course consists of both classroom & hands-on clinical training on the skills & techniques of how to provide personal care and assisting patients with activities of daily living. The class features a fun, engaging and effective curriculum and learning environment dedicated to exceptional care and customer service.

This course also will prepare students to not only obtain their PCA, but to also prepare & test for their Nursing Assistant Certification to become a CNA.

Personal Care Assistants (PCA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are vital to the operation of senior living a nd health care communities. That’s why we are proud to offer employment at one of the following preferred senior living and health care communities after passing obtaining the certification:

• All students receive $14/hour for all classroom hours required for graduation (minimum of 48 hours)
• Pay increase to $14.50/hour after certification is obtained as a PCA
• Opportunity to earn up to $16.00/hour after certification is obtained as a CNA
• Retention Bonus at 1 year employment anniversary with a Palms of Largo facility
• All classroom materials and your first attempt at the CNA state certification exam are paid by the employer
