Circle of Care St. Louis is hiring dependable and compassionate Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) and Advanced Personal Care (APC) caregivers to provide in-home support to older adults and adults with disabilities throughout St. Louis City and St.

Louis County. PCA positions start at $15.00 per hour. Qualified caregivers performing authorized Advanced Personal Care assignments may earn up to $18.00 per hour based on applicable training, competency, and assignment requirements.

Help Someone Live Safely and Independently at Home

Circle of Care St. Louis is hiring dependable and compassionate Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) and Advanced Personal Care (APC) caregivers to provide in-home support to older adults and adults with disabilities throughout St. Louis City and St. Louis County.

Our caregivers help participants remain safely and independently in their homes by providing authorized assistance with activities of daily living and other personal care needs.

PCA positions start at $15.00 per hour. Qualified caregivers performing authorized Advanced Personal Care assignments may earn up to $18.00 per hour based on applicable training, competency, and assignment requirements.

What You'll Do

Depending on the participant's authorized plan of care, PCA responsibilities may include:

• Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.


• Assist with dressing and undressing.


• Assist with toileting and continence needs.


• Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers as authorized.


• Prepare meals and assist with eating or feeding when authorized.


• Provide other authorized assistance with activities of daily living.


• Follow participant-specific care plans and assigned schedules.


• Observe and promptly report changes in a participant's condition or needs.


• Maintain participant privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.


• Accurately document services provided.


• Use a mobile device and Circle of Care's Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to clock in/out and document service delivery.


• Report health and safety concerns, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other reportable incidents according to agency policy and applicable Missouri requirements.

Advanced Personal Care Assignments

Some participants require a higher level of hands-on personal care. Advanced Personal Care assignments are available to caregivers who meet applicable training and competency requirements.

Depending on the participant's authorized plan of care and the caregiver's demonstrated competency, assignments may include:

• Bed baths and extensive bathing assistance.


• Turning and positioning.


• Advanced mobility and transfer assistance.


• Use of authorized mechanical/Hoyer lift equipment.


• Assistance for participants with significant mobility or functional limitations.


• Other authorized Advanced Personal Care tasks within the caregiver's training, competency, and permitted scope.

Caregivers may only perform services they are authorized, trained, and competent to provide.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.


• Be able to read, write, understand instructions, and follow participant care plans.


• Be comfortable providing hands-on personal care.


• Meet applicable Missouri training and orientation requirements.


• Successfully complete required employment, background, and registry screenings.


• Be registered with, or complete required registration with, the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR).


• Meet applicable Employee Disqualification List and other state screening requirements.


• Be able to use a smartphone or mobile device for EVV and work-related communication.


• Be willing and able to travel to participant homes throughout St. Louis City and St. Louis County.


• Be available to work at least t wo weekends per month.


• Be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a:

• Personal Care Attendant (PCA)


• Caregiver


• Home Care Aide


• Direct Care Worker
  
• CNA


• Advanced Personal Care caregiver


• Home and community-based services worker

is preferred but not required for all assignments.

Previous training or demonstrated competency with Hoyer/mechanical lifts, bed baths, turning and positioning, advanced transfers, or other advanced personal care tasks is especially valuable for APC assignments.

Training

Circle of Care provides required orientation and training in accordance with applicable Missouri In-Home Services requirements.

Caregivers must complete required training and demonstrate competency before performing specialized or advanced tasks. Additional training may be required based on participant needs and assigned services.

Schedule

This is a Part-Time position. Available assignments may include:

Weekdays Evenings Weekends

Weekend availability is required. Caregivers must be available to work at least two weekends each month.

Schedules and assignments are based on participant needs, authorized service hours, caregiver availability, and service location.

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential because participants depend on caregivers arriving for scheduled services.

Service Area & Travel

This is not a remote position.

Caregivers provide services in participants' homes and must be willing and able to travel to assignments throughout St. Louis City and St. Louis County, Missouri.
