Job summary

SuiteMate Staffing Solutions, Inc. in Arlington, TX is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to support clients in home or residence settings. The role focuses on non-medical personal care per an approved plan and safe, compassionate daily assistance.

Responsibilities include ADLs support, safety monitoring, and training family caregivers while maintaining compliance with agency procedures and required trainings. Flexible shifts and benefit options are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented
• Need good interpersonal skills and bedside manner
• Must have patience and compassion for elderly or disabled individuals
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's or willingness to train

Responsibilities

• Supports clients with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal prep, mobility, medication reminders)
• Provide direct personal care of a non-medical nature per approved plan of care
• Perform safety and wellness observations each shift and report changes to the agency
• Maintain a safe living area free from falls and hazards; follow safety procedures
• Teach family members or caregivers how to assist with transfers and repositioning
• Stay current with agency-required training and education opportunities
• Help enhance service reputation by taking ownership of opportunities to add value

Location: Arlington, TX

Job Purpose:

Caremate Wellness Solutions provides personal and living assistance services to individuals in the comfort of their own home or residence for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health or minimizing the effects of illness or disability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports clients by assisting with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs(bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobilitymonitoring/medication reminders)
• Provide direct personal care of a non-medical nature, following an approved plan of care
• Performs safety &wellness observations each shift. Communicates with the agency about any changes in condition or living environment
• Maintains a safe work and living environment, ensuring the area where care is provided is free from falls, fire, and trip hazards. Adheres to agency safety standards and procedures
• Helps family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and reposition if necessary
• Updates job knowledge by participating in agency-required training and education opportunities
• Enhances agency & service reputation by accepting ownership of exploring opportunities to add value to services offered

Skills/Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented
• Need good interpersonal skills, must be service-oriented, possess good bedside manner
• Must have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals
• Experience working with individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, or be willing to participate in training to provide service
• Skilled in verbal and written communication

• Must complete all assigned training by agency deadlines
