Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow the Care Plan prepared by the Nursing Supervisor to assist clients with:
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Providing nutritional and environmental support
• Assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, and feeding
• Positioning clients as instructed
• Reminding clients to take pre-prepared medications
• Running authorized errands
• Documenting daily on the Aide Charting Sheet
• Reporting changes in client condition to the agency or nursing supervisor
• Using medical supplies and equipment appropriately
• Providing emotional support to build trust
• Encouraging client independence

Qualifications/Education:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must hold a PCA certificate from a recognized Home Health Aide training program, including ongoing six hours of in-service education
• Must demonstrate maturity and good work relationships with clients, families, and staff
• Must have a genuine interest and sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled

Work Environment:

Exposure to client environments and occasional stress.

The hourly rate ranges from $18.10 to $20.00, based on experience, location, and other factors. This rate is a good faith estimate and may change.
