Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant in Wilmington, NC to provide compassionate in-home support. You will assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, meal planning, and maintaining a safe home environment, while prioritizing client dignity and independence.

We offer flexible shifts (1st–3rd) and competitive hourly pay of $16–$17, with paid orientation, training, and benefits to support your growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Six months of caregiving or similar personal caregiving experience.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, skin and nail care, and meal assistance.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Support clients' independence while treating them with dignity and respect.
• Build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.

Schedule Options

We offer flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle, including:

• Weekday and weekend opportunities
• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Private duty schedules may vary based on client needs

Pay

$16-$17 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate support by:

• Providing medication reminders
• Encouraging proper nutrition and hydration

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Six months of experience in a similar caregiving role or comparable personal caregiving experience
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• A compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care
